Yesterday we visited one of our ongoing projects that is nearing completion in Tunbridge Wells.

The project is the conversion of an old printshop and warehouse into a commercial recreation space for Airhop. The interactive facility will feature a number of fun installations such as laser tag arenas, obstacle courses, augmented reality games and trampolines. A café and seating area is introduced on the new large mezzanine for parents and numerous party spaces are available throughout.

We're really happy with how its looking!

At the end of last week, we visited one of our ongoing extension projects in Long Melford and were delighted to see the progress. This space is now really starting to come together, with the big new opening leading into our single storey extension, which will provide a great connection to the rear garden, with lots of natural light to provide a really nice open plan lounge/kitchen/diner.

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY

Pleased to show the before and after images (click to enlarge) of one of our latest completed projects in Colchester. The project was a self build project undertaken by Pilgrim Builders, and we were able to provide services for RIBA stages 1-4, covering all design, planning and building control information, as well as support at stage 5 where necessary.

The single storey existing garage and extension to the side of the property has been reworked, with the garage removed and replaced on the same footprint with a new home office/study space. A new first floor extension provides an enlarged master bedroom with new en-suite, and new smaller bedroom space to the rear.

Roof works were designed to provide a harmonious appearance to the street, and has been very successfully constructed to provide a seamless transition between new and existing.

Our clients are very happy with the resulting works, and we can see why!

We enjoyed the brief spell of sunshine this morning to visit site, where one of our latest extensions is taking shape. The external shell of the new spaces is now formed, and work to make this water tight and open up between the new and existing will be taking place over the next couple of weeks.

Our latest Suffolk extension is now coming out of the ground. The wrap around single story extension with a few internal alterations, will provide enlarged kitchen/dining, new pantry, laundry and boot room, with enlarged utility also.

Were excited to see the frame starting to go up next week.

On Monday, we visited our Aldershot site where works are almost at completion. The project see's the modernisation and reconfiguration of a very large (approx. 4,500m2/48,500ft2) mixed use building. The existing steel frame has largely been retained, with new internal welfare, plant and sanitary spaces provided.

Profiled insulated metal panels provide a clean finish to the exterior, with new loading bays and roller doors installed to enhance the usability and accessibility of the building. Translucent 'daylite' panels provide large amounts of natural light into the space.

The project should be completed and receive building control sign off before Christmas 🤞

A small selection of finished photos from one of our Cambridge projects. The 12month defects period has now completed and our clients are very happy with their home. The work involved major alterations and structural repairs internally, as well as a single storey rear extension, loft conversion with slate dormer to provide a new office and shower room, new single garage and bike store.

A new air source heat pump was one of a number of additions which help to hugely improve the sustainable and thermal performance of the existing property. Stonework and stained glass fanlight repairs carried out on the front elevation have provided a really nice finish to the street frontage.

MTPPA also provided landscaping design services in addition to the architectural and contract administration, and the new patio and quarry tile path provide a really nice finish. The changes in level provided an interesting challenge, and the new flower beds created will develop over the coming years to add maturity.
