A kitchen renovation deserves a floor that completes the transformation.

For this domestic project in Longfield, we installed 18sqm of Invictus Maximus LVT tiles with feature strips across the kitchen, utility room and WC following a brand-new kitchen installation.

The project started with repairing the existing subfloor, followed by priming, screeding and floor levelling during our first visit. On the second visit, we fitted the LVT tiles and feature strips to create a clean, modern finish.

Chosen for its durability, safety and child-friendly surface, this flooring provides a practical solution for busy family homes while bringing a fresh new look to the space.

The homeowners loved the finished result and the updated flooring has helped modernise the entire area.

A lot of long-term damage comes from using the wrong cleaning methods.

Here are some of the biggest mistakes we see with high quality LVT flooring.

❌ Steam mops
Heat and moisture weaken the adhesive and cause planks to lift over time.

❌ Abrasive products
Steel wool and harsh scrubbers scratch the protective surface.

❌ Wax and polish
LVT already has a protective coating. Wax creates sticky build-up and traps dirt.

The best way to clean LVT?

✔ Vacuum or sweep regularly
✔ Use a damp mop
✔ Choose manufacturer-approved cleaners
