📍 Positive Meeting at Border Gate Business Park, Gretna

Today we were pleased to welcome Dumfries & Galloway Council Chief Executive Dawn Roberts, along with ward councillors Denis Male and Archie Dryburgh, to Border Gate Business Park.

The visit gave us the opportunity to share our plans for the future development of the site and discuss the importance of progressing the project as soon as possible. The building has recently been subjected to a spate of thefts, which are currently being investigated by Police Scotland, highlighting the need to move forward with the project.

It was agreed that Border Gate Business Park has great potential for the area and could bring significant benefits to Gretna and the wider community.

Overall, it was a very positive and productive meeting, and we look forward to continuing discussions as we work towards bringing our plans to life.

Over the last three months Aditus have been upgrading and upskilling the office with a raft of new hardware and software. To both assist our clients and improve work streams we have switched to working in advanced architectural modelling software, that produces both stunning images but also enables us to maintain and improve the design and technical excellence we are known for.
Pretty visuals doesn't necessarily mean great buildings, so every project still gets the same level of attention to detail we pride ourselves on, but we now have more and better tools to help us present each design.
Where possible our current projects have been migrated over to the new system to enable us to take advantage of advanced information management and to assist in compliance with Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and at construction stage. In addition, we have invested in high quality point cloud scanning for our surveys which enables us to capture your building with precision and create accurate models of existing structures. We have always believed in accuracy and buildability and we see this as an investment in our clients and our own standards.

Currently we are detailing a stunning building in Cumrew, assisting local developers with some exciting projects, undertaking a series of domestic re-models and improvements, assisting with Planning issues and working on large scale infrastructure and energy projects. Aditus are delighted to be sponsoring Marian Templeton-Jadron as he plays for Slovakia in the European Lacrosse Cup in Poland in July. Marian is a good friend and also a very talented joiner who produces Oak framed structures locally. He plays for Border City Lacrosse, a Club that director Dan Clements set up with others in and around Carlisle and this is an amazing achievement. It is our pleasure to support Marian on his journey and wish him all the best at the Championships.

We received the tragic news of the passing of Antony Lamb this week. Antony worked with us 2017/18 when we were a relatively new company and whilst he studied at college. Antony was a quiet gentle soul who will be missed by many, not least his family, to whom we send our deepest sympathies.
