You don’t always need to fully decorate your room to make a huge difference to the look..

Old wallpaper was stripped, wall was filled and made good. Wall was sized with thinned paste and then new wallpaper was hung.

Last job before Christmas… After a brilliant year of working at some lovely properties, i was looking forward to this job and also an earlier finish than last year.
I allowed 3 days to sand back the worktops & Parquet floor, prepare and apply 2 coats of varnish.. that’s what similar floors / worktops have taken me to do in the past.
Just oven 7 days later, and on Christmas Eve they are finished!
Problem after problem in the preparation stages of the floor left me questioning how I’ve been self employed for now 25years!
The pictures do not do justice to just how bad the floor was.
It took a crazy amount of time but I didn’t give in.
The customers reaction was well worth it!

Sometimes the little jobs make the biggest difference.
Prepped, primed with a Zinsser sealer then 2 coats of Frenchic chalk paint to match the rest of the woodwork.
Handrails & Acorn post caps were then waxed.
Ready for the new carpets đź‘Ś

I arrived on this job to find some pretty amazing work that had been carried by HT Carpentry.. All bespoke / custom made by Harrison from sheet MDF.. Wardrobes, units & draws.
I’ve been impressed by his work in the past but this really is top notch work!

This was quite a labour intensive job for me with lots of prep work.
It’s this type of work that has kept me loving my job for very nearly 25years!

Fairly time consuming to do it properly but there will be no problems in the future when the room is decorated again.

Old Front doors & porch which had seen better days.
The front doors had been decorated a couple of years ago apparently…
As always with these older properties, 80% prep work and 20% painting.
All finished off in an oil based exterior satin finish.
