Most our work involves sites from half an acre upwards and projects with a construction cost from £0.5m –to around £5m although some projects are of higher value. Barefoot & Gilles are proud to have worked with spa specialists and interior designers Spa Creators UK to help in the creation of the new spa at Salthouse Harbour Hotel on Ipswich Waterfront. The spa features a bespoke ‘wallow’ pool, sauna, aroma essence steam room, ice fountain and fitness suite among other things. Open to hotel visitors or the general public, it is a wonderful addition to the hotel and a real oasis of calm.

B&G in the news - 2 days in a row! | EACH Treehouse, Ipswich

Last Tuesday, our extension project for EACH's Treehouse hospice in Ipswich was also featured in The Ipswich Star, celebrating Gipping Construction's www.gippingconstruction.co.uk start on site for a substantial expansion of this local children's hospice. The new accommodation will include an enhanced hydrotherapy pool, expanded activity and play areas - including a new 'cosy corner' for the children to relax in - and a new 'wellness suite' of rooms for a variety of therapeutic activities.

Last week was busy! On Monday, our Hawke Road project for Handford Homes www.handfordhomes.co.uk was featured in The Ipswich Star, detailing the handover of 26 freshly completed, state-of-the-art affordable homes for Ipswich Borough Council. The new houses and flats provide ample well-insulated living space, heated via air source heat pumps backed up by whole-home heat recovery ventilation and photovoltaic solar panels.

Site Completion | New affordable housing at Fore Hamlet, Ipswich

The flats at the newly-named Roger Fern House, Fore Hamlet, have been handed over and are now being occupied by Ipswich Borough Council tenants www.handfordhomes.co.uk.

Contractor SEH French www.sehfrench.co.uk commissioned the drone video below, to showcase the finished building.

Barefoot & Gilles provided the architectural design for this project from feasibility stage through to completion - we are very pleased with the completed building and would like to thank everyone involved!

We are excited to see work progressing apace on Units 12 & 14 at Port One. These warehouses represent a further expansion of the Port One Logistics Park with Barefoot & Gilles Architects providing design services for developer Curzon De Vere Ltd and contractor Team AB. When complete, these new units will provide approximately 200,000sq.ft of storage space, with a further 9,100sq.ft of supporting office space and staff facilities.
