Another investment in our business. To support our site visits and new build projects, we have secured a newer 4x4 to allow us to access sites for soil testing and agronomic reports. We are Northern Ireland’s No1 supplier for grass seed and fertiliser, PPP products and more. Looking forward to getting the new D250 110 Defender dirty!

Meet the new Irwin’s Sportsturf security dog Maisie. She’s an 11 week old shih-poo, her mother was a sh*tzu and her dad was a toy poodle. No wee doggie could replace our Fudge but Maisie already has a wee personality of her own.

IRWINS are industry leaders for a reason. I started my fine turf experience almost 40 years ago when my father looked after “The Lawn” at Waringstown Cricket Club and I went in to help out. That sparked the interest. I went on to study at Greenmount College, Elmwood College, Myerscough College, then employed at Down Royal Golf Course, Malone Golf Club and the ended my career in green keeping after a ten year stint at Lurgan Golf Club (my home club.) Worked in fine turf sales with an Irish company before working with a Scottish supplier. Made the decision in 2018 to “do it myself”. Thanks to our loyal customers we are approaching our 8th Anniversary in May 2026 as IRWINS SPORTSTURF. We will have to celebrate somehow! Many thanks to our loyal customers who appreciate our knowledge and support.
