Shame to see this mature oak in Burley come down, but unfortunately it had been infected with Ganoderma, which was causing significant internal decay. With the structural integrity compromised, it had become unsafe to leave standing.

Not a decision taken lightly, but safety always has to come first. Another one safely dismantled by the team 🌳🪵
