I’m 35 a week today 🎈 but mentally I’m rushing home from school to watch Art Attack, sticking sticky back earrings on everything and listening to my album on cassette tape 🥹🫶🏼 those were the days!

ad Building my husband his dream music studio 🎵 part two 🥹 and just like that… it’s done 🤩 our creative family studio with high end music studio vibes on one side and Barbie’s dream house on the other 🤣

I honestly can’t rave about these black oak panels from enough 🤩 SO much better (and quicker) that simply painting the walls - and we’ve all not been out of here since we finished 🤭

It’s time to reveal the truth - part three of our dream bathroom nightmare 😭

There is so much I thought I was ready for going into this renovation - the room is literally 1.8m x 1.8m - how long could it really take? And how much upset would I really have to deal with?! 🫠 how naive!!

It feels so silly to say, but looking back on pictures and videos so I can finally share everything that happened has been surprisingly harder than I thought 😅 why did I cry so many tears over a bloody bathroom?! 🫣

ad Welcome to ‘building my husband his dream music studio’ part one 🤩 Joe has never really had a space to call his own since we moved in 9 years ago - so with a huge declutter at the start of the Summer it was time to change that 💪🏼

When I saw the STRIVO Acoustic Square Wall Panels in black oak by they were giving high end music studio vibes 🎵 perfect for Joes half of the garden studio 🤩

It might have been a heatwave 🥵 but they were so easy to install it only took us a couple of hours 🥳 I actually can’t believe we’ve not used panels sooner - as someone who hates painting this is a game changer 🤣

I think it applies to so many things in life, but it definitely fits with how I’ve tackled our home over the years 🤪 there’s been a lot of trial and error where maybe I should have pondered longer 🤣 but I like to learn lessons along the way 💁🏼‍♀️ a true labour of love 🫶🏼

But we should all 💯 be decorating for ourselves and not potential future owners 🙄 sometimes I do think about whoever owns this home next rolling their eyes as they remove all my DIY built in cupboards 🤣 but that’s none of my business 💁🏼‍♀️ right?! 😅

One persons trash, is my next DIY project 🤪😅 I think I bought this for Joe in our first flat together 🤭 so whilst clearing out the garden studio to make way for our creative space it nearly ended up in the bin 😱 but my brain had other pink and red ideas 🤣

I wish I was joking 😅 but the latest hyperfixation means everyone is getting jewellery for their birthdays and Christmas for the forseeable 🤪

As a hobby hoe / craft collector / gold star adhd girlie ✨ I can confirm that it would be ridiculous to buy that £20 necklace when you could spend £250 on supplies and make it your WHOLE PERSONALITY instead 💁🏼‍♀️🤣

It’s time to reveal the truth - part two of our dream bathroom nightmare 🥲 at this point we’d already reached their estimated ‘finish date’ but I’m not unreasonable - I know these things can change - but what I didn’t expect was a further 5 weeks of having to keep our puppy in just one room of the house 🫠

We found our fitters through check a trade (I thought this would protect us - spoiler… it didn’t!!) and after a few quotes we went with the guys that didn’t try to bypass me and ask Joe questions 🫣 Joe would always reply ‘she’s the boss, ask her!’

Anyway - at this point I didn’t know what was yet to come 🫠 and I even sent one of the fitters home with a bag full of vinyl because he said his wife had a machine 🥲 silly me!
