Part 4 and final of the 1993 Honda CR250 engine restoration, after waiting 3 weeks for a piston kit it eventually arrived today, first they said it has gone missing, then they found it in the HUB ( storage warehouse) but the package was damaged so it was sent back to the supplier and then they checked it and eventually sent it to me 🤷🏻‍♂️, anyway all done now and ready for collection, thanks to the customer for his patience after what seemed like an eternity but we got there in the end, 👍

In my last post of the little Honda XR 75 engine I did also mentioned that the rest of the bike would be done shortly, well here it is completely finished, take a look at the before and after pictures and you will see what sort of job I had on my hands, to be honest I loved every second of this build, i hope the customer likes it, just for those sharp eyed purists yes there is a clear fuel line on it at the moment, waiting on the OEM fuel line to arrive, enjoy 😉

PART 3 of the 1993 Honda CR250 engine refurb, stator refurbished and new stator cover, new water pump shaft, seals and bearing, new thrust washers on the power valve shaft, new kickstart spring and shim, new clutch plates and clutch push rod, outer clutch case and water pump cover re-coated in silver, just waiting on a new piston kit to finish it off, PART 4 coming soon, 😉👍

PART 2 of the 1993 Honda CR250 engine refurb, gearbox stripped, cleaned and rebuilt, crank all done, new breather pipe, locating dowls and water way 0 ring, new gasket and some threebond sealer , case’s back together and all bolts torqued to the specific settings, new seal’s also installed, watch out for part 3 coming soon 👍

PART 1 of this 1993 Honda CR250 engine restoration, unfortunately the original case’s were a bit past there sell by date so some replacements were found, still had a few bit’s to sort out on the replacement case’s though, broken bolts and a few knock’s and bangs here and there, the replacements have now been refurbished with new bearings throughout, all threads repaired and re-tapped, vapour blasted and ultrasonic cleaned, in part 2 we will get on with rebuilding the gearbox, crank and getting the case’s back together, watch this space 👍

Cylinder head off a Yamaha SR500 in for a refurb, stripped, cleaned, valve seats re-cut, valves cleaned polished and re-ground, new valve stem seals and all vapour blasted to look like new again, 👍
