We are a traditional family run plant Nursery growing hardy, healthy plants. We supply both trade and public customers. We encourage greater biodiversity, improvements in soil health and more carbon capture for a healthier planet. We recycle and reuse as much as possible and are constantly looking for new ways to reduce our carbon footprint further having realised our responsibility to this and fu

ture generations. As well as supplying top quality plants we also offer a soft and hard Landscaping services, Drainage and Land Management, Garden Buildings etc. We are passionate about helping our customers to transform their gardens, or other outdoor areas, such as forest schools, into wellbeing, living spaces, which they can enjoy within their chosen budgets. For those who visit we hope to have created a welcoming, peaceful nursery, with a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, for them to explore.

Wisteria is known as a staple of the idealistic cottage garden, a figurehead of fantastical wonder - and for many a good reason. Their fragrant, purple blossoms, winding branches and delicate foliage work in unison to create a gorgeous staple for any garden or patio. Whether kept on a frame, across a wall or winding around a fence, wisteria are known to create beautiful climbing features that transform any boring background into a romantic, natural work of art.
It does seem daunting however - the concept of caring for a plant for seven years before any of the purple flowers even begin to blossom. Some may give up on the idea before it even has a chance to become a reality.
This is where the “Amethyst Falls” variety - otherwise known as the Wisteria Frutescens - comes in. Flowering in their first year, often displaying up to two blooms per year, they keep your garden colourful for longer and deliver results much quicker than most other varieties. They are also friendly for pollinators such as bees, making them a lovely option for maintaining biodiversity in your garden. They begin growing from multiple branches low down at the base, making maintaining coverage for your climber that bit easier. Furthermore, we here at Middlewood nurseries make care easy, with our available care guides that aim to make maintaining your Wisteria as stress free as possible.
