Rhododendrons and Azaleas. Their fleeting brilliance of colour is worth a place in some gardens.
My personal favourite is Lutea as it’s scented and deciduous and gives fabulous autumn colour which I find preferable to the dull evergreen varieties. Each to their own! That’s why all gardens are different.
