Now this is a cool bit of kit.

This is in effect a combi boiler that will give the same hot water performance as a unvented cylinder....... but will never run out of hot water

It’s a 40kw combi boiler with a built in gas saver to pre heat the water......... the other unit next to it is a 50ltr thermal store. The hot water that has already been pre heated by the gas saver is further heated by the thermal store to 45 def it then passes through the boiler to do the final lift to 60 resulting in the boiler barely being on tick over while heating the water

This one was given in excess of 20ltm of water at 60deg 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

Further from our post about free domestic hot water..... No it really was not a joke!!!! This is how we realistically and affordably accomplish this free and or heavily reduced hot water gas bill

Conventional solar thermal systems work with a traditional boiler to maintain a stored supply of hot water. Regardless of demand, the boiler fires-up to replenish the stored water as soon as its volume or temperature deteriorates.
With SolarSmart, the stored volume of hot water is heated only by the collected solar energy, so no gas is used in maintaining the cylinder temperature.

Should the solar heated water be exhausted, however, the combination boiler fires-up long enough to help satisfy any immediate demand for hot water.

Positioned neatly above the boiler, this compact unit extracts heat from waste gases that are normally expelled into the atmosphere through the boiler flue. This is then used to preheat cold mains water before entering the boiler.
As the boiler is heating warmed water rather than cold, an average 35% less gas is used to produce hot water, reducing your energy bills and saving up to half a ton of carbon per year.
