Despite what the weather is telling us, SPRING is not far away! 🌱
This is the ideal time to start thinking about the next few months of colour and interest in the garden. Refreshing beds and borders, creating new displays for the seasons ahead and dividing plants are all perfect jobs for these dull days.

The best thing about February is that spring is well and truly in sight 🌱

Happy New Year!

And what a beautiful start we’re having to 2026…frosty, bright days and cold, cold nights. Just as winter should be ❄️☀️

Nothing stops for long in the garden though, and this is perfect time to start thinking about the coming seasons of colour and interest. We're busy planning for our customers and this always means shopping for perennials and shrubs using our brilliant and highly trusted local nurseries.

Alongside many other tasks, winter is the perfect time for hedge planting. If you’re thinking of replacing an old hedge or creating a new one, please do get in touch. With a trusted collection of brilliant suppliers, we have a great track record of creating many different variations of screens, boundaries and formal hedging schemes. Many varieties of hedging are available in root ball or bare root at this time of year which makes it cheap to create the perfect hedge.

A lovely little mini-project this morning! A client of ours requested a swathe of giant sunflowers to frame the end of the large lawn. We’ve been growing these Kongs from seed and today was about rotorvating, prepping and planting out…not forgetting supporting the young plants with stakes whilst they grow. Fingers crossed for a sensational sunshiny display in a few weeks’ time! 🤞🌻💛☀️

We’re recruiting! Looking for a gardener to join my team, initially working 1-2 days per week. You may not have gardened professionally before, but if you’re keen to move into gardening for a living, and and you have some plant knowledge and the will to work hard, I’d like to hear from you.
