We are a team of (surprisingly!) strong, down-to-earth and friendly lady gardeners. References can be supplied.

All of us love being outside - whatever the weather. We are committed to providing a good and friendly service for our customers. We are hard-working, happy in our work and tougher than we sound! We can do your digging, pruning, strimming, planting and weeding. We can also lay hedges, clear rough ground, plant hedges and trees. We pay great attention to detail and tidy up after ourselves. We can p

ut your garden waste into your compost, garden recycling bin - or we can take it away with us. The size of your garden doesn't matter - nor how often you want us to visit. We are happy to come and work weekly, fortnightly, monthly or just as a one-off, whatever you want. It is your garden and you are in control. The Land Girls are local, trained, experienced and enthusiastic gardeners.

Geese! Can you have a murmuration of geese? This was only one group, there were loads more, bigger and smaller groups, over about 15 minutes.

Winter is a dormant time for gardens, the weather is uncertain, and working the soil risks compacting it, changing its structure, and making it difficult to work with later.

Despite this, we can still get out and start weeding. This will clear out your beds and prepare them for future planting.

The frost will help to break up the soil making it easier to plant in the spring.

The greenhouse now needs to be cleared and cleaned for spring planting.

Fallen leaves need to be cleared and composted or otherwise disposed of.

Now is a great time to plant your hedging, bare-rooted roses and shrubs.
