Site Joiner - Full time
We are seeking a skilled Site Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for installing our wooden structures and fixtures while ensuring high standards of quality and safety. You will also be doing generic joinery repair work.

Responsibilities

Deliver and fit wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
Perform joinery tasks such as cutting, shaping, and finishing wood.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Carry out heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and completed works.
Install fixtures and fittings accurately, ensuring they are plumb and level.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills

Proficiency in joinery techniques and practices.
Experience in carpentry with a strong understanding of woodworking principles.
Ability to use hand tools (saws, chisels, drills) and power tools (routers, sanders) effectively.
Knowledge of painting techniques for finishing wood surfaces is advantageous.
Familiarity with electrical work related to installations is a plus.
Capability to perform masonry tasks when required.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to fabricate solutions on-site.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

The Old Lodge, Malton
Built in 1569, this historic property is getting a new look.
A massive project working alongside Martin Craggs Of Build & Restore who is doing the stonework, CWB Decorators Ltd providing the finishing touches and Ask Scaffolding Ltd erecting the scaffold. This collaborative project will bring The Old Lodge back up to date and provide it with a must needed renovation.

We will be repairing all the windows on the property and additional joinery work as the project moves along.
Excited to see you progress photos as it develops.

Athena Joinery & Renovations are looking for a full-time Bench joiner to join our growing team.

Job Specifications: Manufacture Timber windows and doors Experience of Internal Cabinetry such as Kitchens, Wardrobes internal storage etc would be advantageous but not essential Manufacture a wide range of internal and external joinery Must be able to work to a high standard and be able to work using own initiative as well as working alongside other team members.
7-30am to 5pm Mon - Thurs and early finish on a Friday. This can be flexible though if needed.
