Earlier this year I completed the paintwork on this exhibition standard 5 inch gauge Midland Railway 'Spinner', a highly fulfilling task which resulted in this rewarding completed model. Although fully ticketed to steam and operate it is now in a private collection.

With thanks to Nick Simpson, NYMR Grosmont MPD, who secretly snapped me dithering about lining up the transfer numbers on the cabside of 44806 that I completed applying the lining to last week at Grosmont. Now thanks to the top quality coach painting and varnishing by Alan Hardaker the loco is all but complete and ready for a busy season on the NYMR.

Little taster - there will be more to follow of this stunning Midland Railway 'Spinner' 4-2-2 single in 5 inch gauge that I painted and lined, in part form, this summer once the builder completes reassembling it. All the lining was applied by hand as was the lettering in gold leaf.

A real pleasure to be able to redefine the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group's L.N.E.R J27 this last two weeks into it's original 1923 as built livery. Just in time for the loco's centenary today on the NYMR. Here we see the new livery part way completed.

This week I have been working on another full size job, Peter Best's Black 5 44806, with here the almost completed lining on the tender, and the lined cylinders. All on top of superb coach painting by Alan Hardaker of Haworth.
Once the overhauled boiler goes in and all fittings and pipework are completed Alan and I will finish the job.
