Why have a door you never use when you could have a wall of glass instead? 🪟😍

This used to be a set of French doors with a thick bulky frame, limited glass, plenty of draughts, and they were on their last legs 🌬️❄️

The best part? They weren’t even being used.

The customer already had another entrance, so we replaced the tired old doors with a stunning floor-to-ceiling viewing window overlooking the garden 🌳🏡

💨No trickle vents? You could be inviting condensation, mould, and stale air into your home. 🏡

This loft conversion only had French doors with a Juliet balcony and no other form of ventilation. The problem? As soon as it rained, the doors had to stay shut and fresh air stopped flowing.

🔧 We retrofitted trickle vents from Duffells directly into the frame, carefully cutting them in to provide ventilation without compromising the appearance of the doors.

✅ Improved airflow
✅ Reduced condensation risk
✅ Better ventilation all year round
✅ No need to leave the doors open

Not your average window..this one tilts, turns, and blocks noise too. 🪟🔇

We fitted a brand-new tilt & turn window with A+ rated acoustic glass into this new extension 🔧

To make everything flow properly with the new layout, we also moved the existing window and composite door forward into the extension, then carried out the same work to the window and door at the rear of the property 👌

Now everything is clean, secure, and ready for cladding 💪

Pulling the handle harder won’t fix this one!🚪😬

This uPVC door had an issue with the mechanism, making the handle extremely difficult to pull down 💪 and even when it finally moved, the door still wouldn’t actually open.

As this kitchen door would be a fire escape if needed🔥🚪 This needed sorting ASAP.

We managed to gain access without causing any damage 🔧 and repaired the issue all in one visit! 👌

Now opening, locking, and working exactly as it should ✅ Don’t wait until you’re locked in or locked out to get it sorted!

When duct tape becomes a home safety feature! 🩹🪟

We were called to a steel window in a timber subframe that was clinging on for dear life. The glass was cracked and the hinges had completely ripped off the sash—the only thing stopping the window from falling out was a serious amount of Duck Tape!😲💨

It honestly could have been a national TV advert for Duck Tape UK with the shift that tape was putting in, but it wasn't exactly keeping the house secure or warm. We’ve now replaced the glass and the hinges, getting everything back to perfect working order. The customer just needs a bit of elbow grease now to shift the leftover sticky residue! 🛠️✅

Making accessibility easier, one cut out doorway at a time! 🏠

We recently teamed up with a local builder to transform a standard window into a set of accessible French doors. To ensure the best possible access, we took the door lower than normal, which meant installing an ACO drain to meet building regulations and keep everything watertight. 🛠️💧

This involved cutting the brickwork and relaying the area to create a seamless, safe entrance to an outbuilding. It’s a great example of how a few smart changes can completely transform how you use your home! 🙌✨
