Great to be featured in yesterday’s Architects’ Journal article: AI and architects: What we know so far.
Even since my New Practice interview last October, the AI landscape has continued to evolve at an incredible pace. As a small studio, I've integrated AI into both front-end (design) and back-end (office) workflows, significantly boosting productivity, and it's encouraging to see others embracing this technology.
I still don’t view AI tools as an existential threat to architects (at least not yet), but rather as assistants. They enable us to reach a higher quality end product within a timeframe through increased iterations, comparisons, sense checks, or simply ensuring all paths are explored. However, I hope we can avoid overly compressed timeframes due to these emerging technologies and strive for the optimum quality/time balance.
On a separate note, our platform hit proof of concept stage - more on that soon!
To mark the launch of our 2025 AI survey, the AJ takes a look back at our recent coverage of how AI tools are being used and viewed across the industry
