A spring clean was needed for this bed overrun with leaves, weeds and magnolia petals. Now there’s plenty of space to accommodate new plants.

It was also absolutely covered in wild garlic which my client kindly said I could take home. It’s all currently sitting in a salt bath before I make my favourite seasonal pesto 🌱

Autumn can be a great time to cut back some of your plants and split dormant perennials. It may not look like much now, but It’ll pay off in Spring/Summer as it encourages healthy regrowth.

Heucheras and Hellebores have been added to make sure there’s some pops of colour throughout the darker months. Then, I put down a nice new layer of topsoil in this garden to help some of the new and split plants to settle in 🌱
