“POV: you start off choosing flooring… and somehow end up redesigning your entire house around the staircase 😂🔥”

This one’s been a proper special project for us ❤️

A full luxury carpet & flooring installation in this beautiful home in Hale, featuring stunning engineered herringbone wood flooring by Woodpecker Flooring flowing through the kitchen diner and living spaces… paired with deep pile luxury carpets and a fully bespoke stair runner installation finished with black edging and matching black stair rods 😮‍💨

And honestly… this staircase has got serious main character energy 😂

One of the things we loved most about this project was how calm and natural everything felt. Soft neutral interiors, warm natural wood tones, luxury textures, sunlight bouncing through the parquet flooring… the whole house just feels elegant without trying too hard.

You’ll even spot our videographer Sean floating around the house trying to capture “the shot” whilst we all pretend we’re filming an episode of Grand Designs for the day 🎥🤣

But this is exactly why we love what we do.

Not every flooring project starts with an empty house… and this one certainly didn’t 😅

Our lovely clients in Mottram St Andrew are got the itch for a major home renovation and wanted everything transforming at once 😱

✨ Walk-in wardrobe
✨ Landing areas
✨ Bespoke stair runner
✨ Sisal carpets in two living rooms & snug
✨ Full decorating throughout the property

Sounds amazing, right? Now imagine trying to coordinate all of that while the family are still living in the home 👀

Usually on projects of this size, clients move out for a few weeks so we can properly crack on room by room… but this time we’re all working around busy family life, school runs, furniture moving, deliveries and decorators all at once 😂

And honestly?
That’s where having the right team matters.

At Luxury Flooring Manchester we have dedicated teams for floor preparation, rip-outs, carpet fitting and wood flooring installations, plus a brilliant network of trusted local trades we work alongside regularly.

So for this one… we brought in the A-Team 💪🏽

Our good friends Adrian & Vernard from Adrian Woodhead Decorators started in the loft preparing and painting each room, then we followed straight behind preparing floors and fitting carpets room by room as the project moved through the house.

It’s been organised chaos at times 😂
A few arguments… nearly a few scraps… but that’s what happens when good mates work flat out together on a massive project 🤝

But do you know what?
This system has worked brilliantly.

Instead of turning the whole house upside down in one go, we’re making the renovation far more manageable and reducing disruption to family life as much as possible.

And trust us… this home is going to look absolutely unbelievable when it’s finished 👌🏽

Honey Oak Parquet Flooring Installation

This is how you turn a large open-plan space into something truly high-end ✨

We’ve just completed this full ground floor transformation in Bowdon, installing a beautiful honey oak parquet floor across the lounge, dining area, family space, kitchen and WC — all flowing seamlessly as one.

But this one was all about the groundwork…
We uplifted existing carpets, prepared over large format ceramic tiles, and fully levelled the subfloor to bring everything together around the kitchen island — creating one continuous, flawless finish.

To elevate it further, we installed oak quadrant trims and finished them in a Farrow & Ball green — tying the floor perfectly into the wider interior styling of the home.
