Last weekend I travelled to S Wales for a lovely customer who offered to put me up, feed me and walk my sidekick whilst I decorated her living room.
I couldn't say no to my mother could I 🤣

With dad being so ill the last few years, meant it had been 15yrs since it was last decorated and was showing its age, loads of cracks in the plaster, 1 light working, carpet and curtains stained and faded, tears in the wallpaper.

A day spent preping, filling and sanding and 3days of painting and fitting new curtains, new fire, new lights and accessories.
Im in the good books again 🤣
Just waiting on new carpet to be fitted next week 👌

Finished this one this week for great customers in Bentley.
Ordered a nice 7x7ft corner shed to replace the rotten 10x6ft shed, prep'ed the ground, put some concrete feet in for the shed base frame, errected the shed, added a consumer unit, a few sockets, interior light and outdoor security light, changed 5 fence panels and extended their patio to suit.
A good weeks graft and stunning results as always 🍻

Great friends in Colchester needed some more storage space in a wide alcove in their hallway.
A double and single wardrobe, shelves and doors from Ikea were trimmed to size and fitted with soft close hinges and push-to-open mechanisms and finished with some trim panels and coveing to match 👌

To go with the shed I put up the week before in Manningtree, last week was time to upgrade the rotten decking for this summerhouse.
The railings were crumbling just by looking at them, the decking was split and falling through and the frame was literally on its last legs!! 😱
It turned out there were just 2x 1ft² sunken concrete pads holding up ALL of the decking and the sleepers used as steps crumbled as i moved them!

New footings and frame were put in, extending the decking by an extra foot, new steps were added but once finished, was decided not to add a railing as the customer didnt want to loose the open nature and feel closed in from her beautyfull garden 👌

Part 2....

After checking it over, the customer agreed it best to strip the walls completely and redo it all. It was also evident that damp was getting in through the outside wall's render, so that needed attention too.
Quick meeting with Aaron from Direct Plastering Solutions and a plan was agreed.

Both inner walls and exterior render were stripped back to the brickwork and left a few weeks to help dry out. I added a new fused switch and double socket, then Aaron got to work plastering and rendering.
2weeks later (this wed/thurs) I was back to check, seal and decorate.

Now thats a very satisfying turn around for a very relieved and gratefull customer 👌

Part 1....

Originally asked to a few months ago to fit a new socket in a small hallway pantry but after the customer had moved her tall fridge and washing machine out of the way, she called me back very upset and full of worry when she saw what had happened over the years!!
