⭐ ARTIST HIGHLIGHT

Nick Bibby

Wildlife sculpture is not simply about form — it is about understanding the spirit of an animal.

Nick Bibby’s work captures exactly that.

For decades, Bibby has been celebrated for his remarkable ability to translate the vitality of the natural world into bronze. His sculptures are more than accurate representations of animals; they are portraits of character, movement and presence.

From the quiet intelligence of primates to the poised energy of birds of prey and the muscular elegance of big cats, Bibby’s work reflects a deep respect for wildlife and a keen observational eye developed through years of artistic practice.

Each piece reveals an extraordinary attention to detail — the tension in a wing about to take flight, the quiet strength in a resting predator, or the thoughtful gaze of an animal aware of its surroundings.

There is both realism and emotion in his work.
A sense that the sculpture has paused mid-moment.

Bibby’s sculptures have been exhibited widely and collected internationally, admired for their balance of naturalism and expressive form. Whether monumental or intimate in scale, his pieces possess a powerful presence that resonates with wildlife lovers and collectors alike.

This week we’re celebrating the work of Nick Bibby — an artist whose sculptures remind us of the beauty, dignity and quiet intelligence of the natural world.

Which of Nick’s subjects speaks to you most — birds, primates, or big cats?

✨ ARTIST HIGHLIGHT

Anna Tölgyesi Poós

There is a refined sensitivity in the bronze work of Anna Tölgyesi Poós the outstanding Hungarian sculptor whose pieces capture not only anatomical accuracy, but spirit. Famed for her Dog portrait sculptures, Anna's work encompasses a broad range of subjects, each touched by her wonderful skill.

Her sculptures are defined by precision and quiet intensity. Each form feels alive — held in a moment just before movement continues.

In Turul, the powerful eagle descends with controlled strength. Wings poised, talons ready — the sculpture embodies myth, heritage and command.

In On Point – Standing Hungarian Vizsla, tension and discipline are beautifully observed. The stillness is not passive; it is focused, alert, instinctive.

Icaro Bracco Italiano carries a different energy — athletic, elegant, composed. The long lines and balanced stance reflect both grace and restraint.

And then there is Little Smiling Angel — intimate in scale, gentle in presence. A reminder that strength in bronze can also feel tender.

Anna’s work balances realism with emotional subtlety. These are not static figures. They are moments of breath, instinct and quiet power, captured permanently in metal.

Which piece speaks to you most — the grounded dog, the mythic eagle, or the gentle angel?

Backstroke — Nicolas Moreton

This carved stone sculpture captures a moment of weightlessness and flow — a body in motion, suspended between strength and calm. Reduced to its essential lines, the figure feels both dynamic and meditative.

Moreton’s work invites quiet observation, allowing movement to be felt rather than explained.

Which do you connect with more — abstract form or figurative sculpture?

What does it feel like to move without weight?

To trust the body to carry itself through space?

Backstroke by Nicolas Moreton captures a fleeting moment of fluid motion, carved in stone with remarkable balance and restraint. The figure appears suspended — poised between effort and ease — allowing form, rhythm, and negative space to do the work of expression.

Moreton’s approach strips movement back to its essentials, resulting in a sculpture that feels both powerful and serene. A piece that invites the viewer to slow down and follow the curve of motion with their eye.

Do you prefer sculpture that leans toward abstraction, or the human form?

Some artists sculpt movement.

Others sculpt the space between thoughts.

Angela Farquharson is known for her quietly powerful figurative sculptures that explore stillness, balance, and the inner emotional landscape. Her bronzes capture moments of reflection — figures seated in calm repose, absorbed in thought, grounded in their own presence.

Rather than dramatic gesture, Farquharson works through subtlety. A tilt of the head, a curve of the back, or the weight of a seated form becomes the emotional focus. Her sculptures invite the viewer to pause, encouraging contemplation and personal interpretation rather than immediate conclusion.

In works such as Enigma and Serene Beauty, Farquharson’s approach is clear: stillness is not passive. It carries meaning, emotion, and quiet strength. These are sculptures that feel at home in interior spaces — places of reflection, calm, and daily life.

Angela Farquharson’s work offers a gentle counterpoint to a fast-moving world — moments of calm, shaped in bronze, waiting to be discovered.

Which piece of hers draws you in?
