Bathroom to wetroom conversion finished off for an elderly family member who was struggling to get into the bath.

New subfloor made stronger as old one was installed terribly and a lot of rot.

I think the pattern match on the floor wasn’t too bad considering cheap b and q tiles (somethings work when you put a bit of thought into them)

Current project.

Bathroom to wetroom conversion.

Ease of access.

Removed all the old timbers in floor as most were rotten, cut out whatever plate was also rotten, installed new plates where needed and doubled up with new 2x4s. Floor is now super strong.

Got the jackoboard tray in today (one of my favorite wet tray formers to use 😍)

Sort a hairline fracture on one of the old degraded soldier joints on the microbore fittings (hence the few board left out) in the morning then get the rest of floor in, boards down get that shower tanked up and start cutting in that wet tray.

Do love a wetroom!

One of my favourites to date this. A lot of work went into this from work
Under the floor, removing old lathe and plaster, cutting out old cast iron and joining to new services. Moving joists to allow for wet tray wast, overboarding walls, building walls to hide the cistern and fit niches. Have included the before photos too at the bottom completely different room!
