It has been a while since i have posted on my Gardening page.. the winter has been long and as some of you know I am also studying Fine Art while wanting to establish my practice as an Artist as well as continuing to nurture my passion for the outdoors and gardening... In the HOPE the Spring will Soon be here ( ??!!!) I just wanted to let people know that I am still going to garden for the Spring /Summer season 2018 . However i am taking a brave leap and I am looking to work for those who are very sensitive about the environment and want to embrace gentler gardening methods. No pesticides, no slug pellets, plenty of wild spaces in the gardens, no unnecessary digging and weeding ..no chemicals .. less lawns and more plants, flowers, edibles and diversity- I am still supporting and learning about Permaculture as a way of Gardening and living and Forest gardening too but i have a long way to go! However I have decided to embrace my passion 100 per cent so I am only looking to work for clients who are open about this and that can embrace these Environmentally respectful ways in their gardens, I want to make really clear that this is not an attack on anyone who chose to garden in a more traditional and old fashion way i completely respect other choices and methods but i cannot longer support it in my practice . So if this is what you look for get in touch, I will be sharing more interesting stuff about "different" ways of gardening :) all the best and May the sun shines in your heart today let the the snow melt away with the warmth of your humanity and love for the Planet

A few shots from the Green House
A Forest garden in Ramsgate
Designed by pioneer permaculturist in Kent
And One of my top favourite
Gardens in Thanet
Forest gardening is an alternative way of gardening
80% efforts going in designing the space and 20% in
maintenance
Entirely chemical and pesticides free
Based on permaculture principle it explores ways of gardening following the natural Rhythm of nature rather than trying to fight it and constantly being overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to be done
Forest Gardening is a gentle respectful gardening practice
It consist in planting many diverse plants especially edibles taking in consideration
Climate, position, light and with particular focus on keeping the soils nurtured and rich of natural nutriments
It allows spaces for wildlife
And yes
It does require some management but it's a joy and it looks beautiful ! So much more to say and if you are interested please contact me
I'm planning to shift my methods and change my practice entirely by moving from conventional gardening to forest gardening 100 %
By the end of this summer

Also thank you to Windmill Community Gardens and Jo Barkerfor giving me the opportunity to give a little "talk" last week to the new students about how engaging with their project, particularly the Horticulture course has benefited me and gave me enough confidence to go self employed as a gardener last year! YES- this was only just over a year ago.

Here's the stages of a little project I've been working on lately. I have generated a big amount of garden waste while working on a beautiful large private space, instead of taking waste to the tip we decided to recycle %100 of it. I created 2 small dead hedges by utilising hidden corners ( giving winters homes to wildlife) some more of the soft waste will be composted ( composting process coming soon) Small twigs have been utilised to create bugs hotels which I have hanged in different places , some medium and big branches to create support fencing for the dead hedges or neatly chopped and divided by size , stored In dry shed and ready for wood burners, stoves or bonfires πŸƒπŸπŸŒ³πŸŒ±πŸŒΏ

Morning Gardeners...The winter is on its way and since yesterday the temperature has dropped in this part of the Country too- why not utilizing some of your garden waste to create winter homes for wildlife during the colder months ? You don't have to compromise the way your garden look and can make a massive difference. Here's some tips from RHS or get in touch with me for more hands on help and support to create a Wildlife Friendly Garden space :) You will be also saving money and time - taking garden waste to the tip or having it collected from your door step can cost money !
