Long post...but I want to tell you about an amazing 13 year old, this is Sushine, she is 13 years old and is the sweetest girl ever ❤️
I used to volunteer with her Dad, Made Sena, at Bali Animal Welfare Associationi. Sadly he developed bone cancer and died when Sushine was just over 1 year old and that is when I first met her 💔
Life is very cruel sometimes, Sushine also developed bone cancer, resulting in amputation of her lower arm. Fortunately Solefamily, an amazing charity who helped her Dad, have helped with her treatment and found sponsorship for a prosthetic arm.
Indonesia is not like UK, healthcare is not free, there is no benefit system for anything and life is very, very hard.
A couple of weeks ago WG and I met up with Sushine and her Mum at Solefamily. There were a lot of tears, but also a lot of smiles and giggles.
Despite speaking different languages WG and Sushine played together for a few hours, it was so lovely to watch them, her Mum bravely smiled, despite being petrified of the uncertainty of life.
Watching them i knew I need to do all I can to help alleviate some of the pressure off Mum, so am sponsoring them a monthly basic food parcel.
But I want to do more, they deserve more, so I am selling my handmade large macrame, and all the money will go to them to help them with schooling, bills, whatever is needed at the time extra.
The macrame is £8 (handmade in Bali)
