A little bit of work i have been doing at home...our huge hall stairs and landing has had the walls stripped back and (non-original) picture rail removed, filled, sanded, sealed and lined.

New dado rail with William Morris Strawberry Thief wallpaper above and Anaglypta Oriental panels below. Woodwork and panels painted with Tikkurila Helmi 30 tinted to Farrow and Ball Dead Salmon*. All design ideas courtesy of Sandra Beard

All new radiators, but still a bit to be finished; handrail, papering hallway, front door and window. It's taken an age!

*Dead Salmon is a name Farrow and Ball got from the 1805 painting of Kedleston Hall, which happens to be in Derby, our home City.

Productive day of demolition in the sunshine. Found a hibernating hedgehog but hopefully didn't disturb it.
