Andrew Spacie Garden Design I provide a professional garden design and construction service within the Market Harborough area.

I formally qualified in horticulture and landscape design in 1985 then subsequently joined a large commercial landscaping company undertaking design and construction projects in the home counties. I later worked for Harborough District Council then Leicester City Council as a landscape designer before starting my own business in 1995.

Taken last March, the first look at a new project. The brief was to break out a rotting deck, level, as best as possible, the garden, and create a large paved terrace to accommodate furniture. The end results are almost ready to post, just waiting to complete the turfing this week.

Same project. Each pleached tree is up-lit and the planters have concealed light strips beneath the coping overhang.

A scheme I undertook in 2020 where the garden boundary was planted with pleached hornbeams. I visited the garden today, 3 years on, to see in particular how the pleached trees had established and was pleased with their growth.

Finishing off a pergola today. Not an 'off the shelf' one, but one I designed and built to fit the garden I designed. Using hefty 4" x 4" timbers with most of them cut by UK Timber Ltd, Corby at 4.5 metre lengths. Allows the customer to have a good sized seating or dining area without posts been in the way. Nice to use good quality wood, notch it on site and get a good finish.
