One of three jobs we have on this week, a large office and warehouse complex in Binbrook.
Three offices needed re painting urgently to allow for the seasonal expansion of the business.
This job turned into a real challenge for our team, as the walls and woodwork was prepared the spiders descended onto the walls....they seemed to be attracted to the smell of the Dulux Magnolia wall emulsion.
We can confidently guarantee to all our customers and friends that all spiders where very carefully painted round, the spiders webs also got carefully painted between and around.
No harm came to any spiders during the painting of the offices, but they all have magnolia feet for a few days....

A huge big thank you to Gordon and all the great staff at Duckworths in Market Rasen, due to the great hospitality of all the staff, we managed to work around the team, allowing them to continue thier daily duties with little to no interuption. This allowed us to finish the project well ahead of schedule.
The main wall was changed from a tired Magnolia to a new fresh and clean Dulux RAL 9010 white in silk, ceilings had a fresh coat of Amstead brilliant white, with all woodwork finished in Dulux quick drying acrylic high gloss. 3 offices and reception entrance room also had the same treatment to give a great new look to the front of house work areas.
As part of our added services, we will now visit the site on a quarterly basis to repair any scuffs and damage to the newly painted area's keeping the showroom in top condition.
Thank you Duckworth's, your business is much appreciated.
A final thank you to "Andy Steady hand " for cutting in around the Jaguar and Landrover logo's with no masking tape anywhere to be seen...nice one.

One of the projects we completed last week, to a lovely property in Market Rasen.
The customer engaged our services to decorate the hall, stairs and landing, bathroom and kitchen.
We commenced by replacing a warped and damaged lower wooden banister rail on the landing, as the existing paintwork on the staircase had become badly worn and scratched, we sanded and removed the all the existing paintwork using a Festool dust free sanding system, once the staircase had been suitable prepared, all woodwork was painted in a Dulux primer / undercoat. The staircase was then painted in Dulux trade satin white giving all areas two coats. The handrail was finished in two coats of Dulux oil based black gloss and finally finished in a clear lacquer, to provide a hard-wearing topcoat to the handrail.
We continued with preparing the ceilings and painting in Dulux brilliant white mat ceiling paint, applying two coats.
We advised the customer to use Valspar premium wall paint, on all walls on the landing and hallways, we have found this to give an excellent coverage, and once dried is a washable and scrubbable hard-wearing paint ideal for high traffic areas.
The skirting boards, doors and frames after been sanded and prepared was given an undercoat before two coats of Dulux trade Satin was applied. As a finishing touch, we painted the door frames to some storage cupboards in back gloss and painted the six doors in Satin white. This gave a lovely new modern look to a very large entrance hall and landing.
We then moved onto the Bathroom, which was finished in the same detail as the Hallway, giving a nice new clean look to the bathroom area.
Finally, the kitchen was wallpapered on 3 walls in a Dunhelm patterned paper no 93121. Along with painting the ceiling in white mat and walls in Valspar premium brilliant white, and woods in satin white, gave the kitchen a new modern lift and matched perfect with the exiting kitchen units and worktops.
Just to complete the project all radiators in each of the rooms we worked in was painted in a high temperature, radiator paint, giving a new look satin white finish.

Two jobs for this week, we returned to Swallow, after completing a full exterior repaint of 22 windows and 7 exterior doors in Sandtex exterior gloss white, we returned on Monday to re decorate the customers master bedroom in this lovely property.
We commenced by repairing a number of cracks between the plaster board in the ceiling, then proceeded to apply 3 coats of brilliant white matt emulsion.
Three sash windows, skirting boards and door frames had a good sand down with our Festool dust free sanding system.
Three walls had a Valspar VC300 applied, a superb paint that's washable and very hard wearing.
Two feature walls had a very nice wallpaper applied from Dunholm, a traditional paste the paper, and a good product to work with.
Finally all woodwork was painted in Dulux Trade satin white, 2 coats achieved a lovely velvet finish as satin should.

Busy, Busy, Busy, sorry for the lack of updates recently. Here's a bit of a picture gallery of some jobs we have completed over the last few weeks.

Now the sun is shining we are very busy with our outside work, this is one of three projects we are on at present, almost finished the windows outside on this fantastic barn conversation. All doors and windows required sanding back and beading that had started to show signs of dry rot needed replacing. in areas of new wood the timber was knotted and primed before two coats of sandtex Bay tree exterior wood paint was applied. All handles, hinges and fitting got a respray of matt black paint to nicely finish the new look to the exterior. As the project continues the team are moving into the internal windows that will be finished in a Brooklyn grey before the kitchen gets a fresh coat of Jasmine white to give a new fresh look to the inside of this lovely propery.

One of the jobs we recently completed for a lovely customer in Market Rasen, the hall and landing ceiling required the removal of old polystyrene ceiling tiles, as we removed the tiles it was clear the ceilings was in a very poor condition. The hall ceiling required a lot of preparation to repair cracks in the old plaster, we then hung 1800 grade lining paper to the ceiling and painted in two coats of matt white ceiling paint. The landing ceiling was in very poor condition, we therefore decided to replace the ceiling with new plasterboard sheets, once secured the plasterboard was skimmed at joints and 1800 grade lining paper was hung to ensure a nice finish prior to applying two coats of white matt ceiling paint.
The old wallpaper from the hall and landing walls was removed before the addition of a new dado rail was fixed to the walls. The wood was knotted and undercoated before two coats of Dulux trade satin white was applied.
The upper half of the walls was repapered in a lovely floral pattern, with the lower half papered in an anaglypta with a very Suttle vertical line. Once papered the lower paper was coated in a Valspar blue denim to nicely blend with the floral colours of the upper paper.
All other woodwork was prepared and painted with two coats of Dulux trade satin white.
It was a real transformation to the hall, stairs and landing, it now looks classically modern.

One of the recent projects we finished a few weeks ago. A popular supermarket in Market Rasen owned by the lovely Mattu's family, located in Union Street was severely fire damaged two years ago, this left the frontage of the business with some smoke damage and required our services to completely sand and wash down with sugar soap the existing paintwork to remove all traces of soot. The work was carried out using our mobile scaffold tower to ensure safe working in a public areas. Once the shop front had been prepared filling any holes and defects with exterior filler, and removing the old signage, it was given a coat of Dulux brilliant white oil based undercoat applied by brush and roller to give an even coverage to the large flat surface. Once dried a top coat of Dulux brilliant white oil based gloss paint was applied again using mini rollers to ensure an even coverage on the vertical flat surface. The shop front now displays new signage on top of the newly painted front and looks first class to match the great customer service this local supermarket delivers.
