At first glance, it might not look like a huge difference but this window was causing some serious damp issues.The drainage on the old window had been completely sealed shut with silicone, and the window cill hadn't been properly sealed. The cill was also leaning backwards, meaning rainwater was running across the back of it, down the sides and eventually making its way inside the property.
The new window has been installed correctly with face drainage, allowing any water to drain out onto the cill and away from the property as it should.
Sometimes it's not just about fitting a new window it's about making sure it's fitted properly and solving the problem for good.
