Scolyn's Patch This is my Therapy!! I have ME/fibromyalgia & a spinal injury. Check my page out for what I Make!

I was diagnosed with ME/fibromyalgia and also have spinal injury. I make Memory/keepsake throws, cushions, patchwork bed throws, tote bags, shoulder bags and various other bits and bobs!! I also make bits for campers/caravanners etc :)
This is my Therapy!!! Things are made to order and can take a little longer due to my illness as I need to rest after a short while, so I usually say 2 days minimum if urgent!

Some more keepsake/memory bears off to their new homes. All 4 contain some ashes of the person which is such a lovely id...

For those awaiting their bears it will be a couple of weeks before I can start cutting fabrics again!! I had a fall a couple of days ago and my hands have taken the worst of it!!

Well guys, I've finally made the tough decision to give up the majority of all my sewing endeavours as from January 1st sadly. Those who I have promised to do items for in the new year will still be honoured. I will still be making items up, but in my own time now, as I have a stack of fabrics I'd like to use up!!

Sadly my health has now beaten me and my rest periods are so much longer now due to the energy levels my M E has dropped too. It's gradually been getting worse over the last few years, and energy is now at such a low level for my 'good' days, that I've had to make this decision.

Please always ask if you'd like any of the memory items making and I will make a decision based on how I am at the time as to whether I can manage your request.

I've made some lovely friends on here doing this and I thank you all and hopefully we'll continue to be in touch.

I have a couple of Advent Calendars if anyone would like one.

I have not stitched top tab on yet in case someone would like a name embroidered on.
There is 1 of each. These should last for many years, even becoming an heirloom!
They are stitched in a quilting style so lovely and padded and each pocket is 8cm wide and 6cm deep.
They are quite large and hang using wooden rod and ribbon.
£20 each. Collection from me or postage will be extra!

After some recent enquiries, I would just like to re-iterate that my prices are done to cost for the items I make. It appears sadly that this is not apparent to some!

The cost of the fabrics used have rocketed since Covid, like most things!, and when you consider, like the Advent Calendars, I am only charging £20 which covers the fabric panel & backing fabric (100% cotton not a cheap poly or felt) the quilting foam, the Dowel, the ribbon and the thread & electricity to make them, I make maybe a £1!!

I do most items as my therapy for my disabilities, it keeps my hands & brain active and I love making the memory items and, hopefully, creating memories for people.

All patchworked/made by me with some glittery or shiny fabrics
