We were getting a bit fed up with all the rain but then this appeared over our yard and brought a smile to our faces.

It lasted for a full 20 minutes too.

Delighted to have just taken delivery of our new Thermatech, high-temperature stone cleaning system. We ordered the optional abrasive attachment to remove even the most stubborn grime from stone.

Thanks to our friends at Restorative Techniques for building this great bit of kit and, as ever, for their excellent technical support.

Our latest project: this stunning outdoor fireplace, designed and installed for the prestigious Tower House restaurant overlooking the River Thames in Richmond.

The brief came with a unique challenge — we couldn’t fix anything to the listed wall behind. Our solution? A custom cantilevered steel frame securely bolted to the floor — combining design ingenuity with structural precision.

Huge thanks to Urban Outdoors for the commission, Watkins Welding & Engineering for their expert craftsmanship, and the whole Sandridge Stone team for a brilliant collaboration.

Our latest fire surround project completed for the main residents' sitting room at the prestigious Arden Lawns development near Stratford on Avon.

Big shout-out to the Sandridge Stone team, Mark, Jonny and Tharin for their efforts in bringing this to fruition - from cutting the quarry block through to precision carving and final installation.

A big thanks also to the developers Sue and Nick Liddell for commissioning us for the work.

We were delighted to be invited to the grand reopening of Church House, 11 Canon Square, Melksham, on Friday evening.

After a lot of hard graft, we’re incredibly proud of the complete transformation of the exterior—achieved through the skill and dedication of traditional stonemasonry. A huge thank you to the brilliant Sandridge Stone team: Jonny, Mark, Rikki, Corinne, and Tharin for your energy, craftsmanship, and commitment throughout the project.

We're especially grateful to St. Michael’s Church, Melksham, for commissioning Sandridge Stone for this rewarding project.

The reopening event was a real celebration, well attended by vicar Charlie Thompson and members of the amazing church fundraising and volunteer team—who deserve enormous credit for making this all possible. We were also pleased to see Melksham Mayor Saffi Rabey and local MP Brian Mathew among the guests and cutting the ribbon.

A special shout-out to Hannah Thompson for her boundless energy in managing the project, and to Simon and the team at Prior & Company Builders. Their transformation of the interior—from an uninhabitable dungeon to a bright, welcoming, and modern space—is nothing short of astonishing. They were a pleasure to work alongside and couldn’t have been more accommodating.

Two beautiful fire surrounds from our range were test-fitted in the workshop before being packed into their shipping crates for dispatch to the customer.

The Chalgrove features a classic 4-centred Tudor arch, embellished with quatrefoil detailing on the spandrel and a textured finish.

The Camaret boasts a bold French style with curved console jambs and a scooped frieze beneath the mantel shelf.

We completed the renovation of no fewer than 5 chimneys on this property in Chippenham last week - take down, repair, replace and rebuild....hard graft, but great result.

Today we installed a Trafalgar surround in Bath Stone in the beautiful Georgian city, and tourist hot-spot, Bath. Very fitting that the stone came from a quarry a mere 10 miles away.
