A nice spring haircut for this box Lonicera today. ✂️🌳
A good cut back to its original boundaries helps to keep structure and uniformity to the garden.
Instead of using a hedge trimmer, i used a good pair of topiary shears to minimise any noise.

Before doing this, i checked for any nesting birds that might have a clutch hidden in the hedge. As to not disturb them 🐦

A bit of weeding magic today ✨🌼

Some pesky weeds had overrun this lovely patio border. So by clearing these and allowing for the central plants to be defined, it allows for a fresh canvas for planting anymore shrubs or perennials.

The abundance of different weeds had run riot around this concreted courtyard and also into the raised bed. So by picking them out and giving the bed a good turning over, this has transformed this garden for better use. It has also allowed the Daffodils to take centre stage in the sunkissed raised bed 🌼

Spraying weedkiller down on some of the more deep taproot weeds, ensures that the slabs do not return back to a jungle of weeds
