Thank you Jemma Forte. So if we left the ECHR it would make almost zero difference to immigration ... but what difference would it make to YOUR human rights?

As Reform and the Tories are yet again gaslighting ordinary people with extraordinary disinformation which will remove THEIR OWN fundamental human rights ... which of these protections do you object to?

Interesting. I wonder where it is now…
Update: It’s in the church at Giggleswick. Good news as so often windows either lie in a diocesan store somewhere or are sold into private hands.

The Mysterious Stained Glass of St Alkelda’s Church, Giggleswick

Many Ricardians know that there are just two churches in the world dedicated to St Alkelda, one is in Middleham and the other in Giggleswick, but very few are aware of a mysterious stained glass in the latter. The whole matter started with a parish fair. Parishioners from both churches were looking for items to sell at a coming fair in a parish room.

The two parishioners came across a pile of very old newspapers and were going through them to see if they contained something important, but it was at the bottom of that pile that they made an incredible discovery. There was a beautiful stained glass, 2.5ft high, that showed a woman being strangled with her feet in water, the exact description of St Alkelda’s martyrdom. It was the Rev Hilary Young, then priest in charge, who identified the figure as St Alkelda.

Just back from Singapore, Cambodia, and Thailand where we had a funeral to attend.
Met some really interesting people on our travels, a physio from NorthTees hospital on her way to visit family in Pakistan, two women volunteers in St Andrews Cathdral in Singapore who were wonderfully welcoming, two folk from Australia who were snatching a few days in Cambodia after a family get together, a really helpful tuc tuc driver in Siem Reap… and extended family in Thailand. And lastly a woman and her 3 year old daughter who had flown home from Pakistan two weeks early because it was so hot. The world is both very big and very small all at the same time. Not much time to do proper sketching sadly so some quick drawings that are part of my holiday diary.
