A fantastic session and a great reminder that our role goes beyond gardens—we’re here to support and look out for our clients too. Thank you for having us.

🌞🌷 Welcoming the sunshine and new blooms of 2026! 🌷🌞

As the brighter days arrive, we were delighted to deliver a Dementia information session bringing together two wonderful groups who share a love of the outdoors.

The session included staff and volunteers from Ormesby Hall - National Trust, who are already part of our local dementia-friendly community, along with some newcomers – The Jolly Gardener North East Ltd, who provide garden maintenance and help keep our own outdoor spaces looking beautiful. 🌿

Fresh air, natural light, familiar surroundings, and gentle movement can support wellbeing, reduce anxiety, encourage social connection, and spark meaningful memories.

Ormesby Hall offers a wonderful new walking trail – a peaceful place to enjoy nature, take a stroll, and connect with others. And of course, The Jolly Gardeners play an important role in helping maintain our outdoor spaces at home, ensuring they remain safe, welcoming, and full of life for everyone to enjoy. 🌼

It was fantastic to see both groups coming together to learn and strengthen our dementia-friendly community. Thank you to everyone who joined us! I 💙
