Very pleased with my last and final synoptic of the year and college too. We had to present 4 dishes in 5 hours with 30 minute prep time. I was very worried as my previous attempts of certain things didn't go well and feel I couldn't get all four out in the time given. However, I didn't stop and managed to do it with amazing results:
Florentines: DISTINCTION
"Excellent texture, balance of fruit and nuts. Good even, and shaped all the same"
Sachertorte: DISTINCTION
"Excellent texture. Good amount of glace, good amount of apricot"
Danish Pastries: DISTINCTION
"Good shape and texture, shaping. Very good, excellent flavour"
Baked Alsaska: DISTINCTION
"Excellent plating and colours. Parfait well made with excellent flavour"
Overall Grade: DISTINCTIONNNNNNNNN
This is my first time in my three years in college I have got ALL DISTINCTIONS in an exam. For my other practicals I got all distinctions again apart from one merit. Definitely a really good end to college.
