Happy Christmas to all our followers! We hope you had a lovely time however you celebrated.

There was a flutter of snow locally on Christmas day but not enough to create the image below - a snowy winter's day in Alkrington Woods some years ago! I love this image as you can really feel the low-lying warm winter sunshine in the late afternoon on a cold crisp walk.
