Accanthus leaves and i are not friends, im not afraid to say i find them so difficult- so here's my new years resolution, to paint accanthus as much as i can until i can do it easily. My other resolution is to be braver, ive played it safe here by painting on some scrap thick velum but i need to do a piece properly!

This silly stupid rabbit haunts me- and he doesnt even have a name! I last painted him holding a bottle of ink on a bookmark and now i wonder if i should be painting him more. Perhaps some friends? Foxes, deer, and dogs? Heres a first draft of a possible sticker or print, gold bells and all 🎉✨️

The longest, floppiest aillettes for the 13th century set are done! And .gregory.96558 looks so good in it all!🤩
It's been so fun to play/interpret construction and visuals for each part, using a mix of 12th century and beyond references has been so interesting and a test of my sewing capabilities 😅
