⚠️ SAFETY ALERT: It’s peak season for Oak Processionary Moths (OPM).
If you have Oak trees on your property, you need to be on the lookout. These caterpillars aren't just a threat to the health of your trees: they are a significant health risk to you, your family, and your pets.
Why are they dangerous?
The caterpillars are covered in thousands of tiny, toxic hairs. Contact can cause painful skin rashes, eye irritation, and even breathing difficulties.
What to look for:
✅ Silken, white nests on the trunks or branches of Oak trees.
✅ Caterpillars moving in long, nose-to-tail processions.
✅ Bare patches where the leaves have been stripped away.
⚠️ THE GOLDEN RULE: Do not attempt to remove them yourself. The hairs remain toxic even after the nests are empty and can be easily spread by the wind.
As your local experts, we have the specialized equipment and training to handle OPM removal safely and effectively, protecting both your trees and your home.
Stay safe and keep a distance. If you spot a nest, message us a photo or call us for an honest, professional assessment.
