Meet Daltrey gonk
I was asked by a loyal customer to create a Roger Daltrey gonk in a parka.

“Where do I start?” I thought 🤷🏼‍♀️
My first issue was that gonks have no eyes and their hats meet their fat noses, so how was I going to achieve a gonk like this and make him resemble Roger (ever so slightly)

Second issue was you don’t see gonk hair because it’s under their hats.

Third issue was Roger isn’t famous for a full on beard - which are gonks trademark.

This was a creative challenge to say the least.

Sooo after much contemplation and needlework, I’ve created this guy with a mop of mousey curls typical hairstyle of Daltrey’s in the 70’s

His new mumma is happy 😃

Another challenge has been set, a mod gonk, Parka, bucket hat and Adidas Sambas 😬

Not sure my sewing skills are up to it but hey…I’ll give it a go! Watch this space 👀

Gonk the Mod (Weller) has now been adopted!

I have enough time to create another 2–3 before Father’s Day. If you’ve got a MOD dad who loves the scene and would enjoy having his own Mod Gonk, keep watching the page. I’ll post each one here as soon as it’s finished. 🛵

He is a Gonk Wood special - one of a kind, which means I will make others but there will always be subtle differences to ensure you have the only version of that kind.

Weller wears a fishtail parka, desert boots and Union Jack clothing.

One is a customer order, the other ‘Gonk The Mod’ will be available tomorrow - same style, with subtle differences.
