Of all the natural stones, we chose Amber for its natural qualities. With a variety of colors and subtle structure, Amber allows us to grind stones into smaller pieces.

Amber is a gemstone formed through the fossilization of tree resin; which can be traced back to the Tertiary period, meaning that Amber stones were formed approximately 50 million years ago.

The characteristic color of Amber is a warm golden to brown yellow, but the stone actually comes in various shades - from green to a reddish orange and dark brown.

Amber is known for it is spiritual qualities. It cleanses the environment in which it rests. It also purifies one’s body, mind and spirit when worn, carried or used as an elixir.

Amber has a long history of use in various cultures. In Asian countries, Amber was considered the "soul of the tiger" and regarded as the stone of courage. Pieces of this beautiful stone were carried for protection during long voyages.

The Egyptians used Amber stone to protect mummies from destruction and decay.
