When Alex and I had to do four (others to follow) table arrangements for a friends mum on her 80th. We are not florists and have no training so it was just a very natural bunch of our flowers in a vase. I felt very proud to say we grew every single flower, 90% from seed ourselves in all four of the arrangements. By we (it’s very much the royal we) I mean Alex Alex Watkins who is a serial seed sower, and thank goodness she is. 🌸😊💗

Got to love these unusual dusty red Rudbvkia. I have a couple of plants for the first time and I have to say I like them. The stems are not very long though but they look fab in the mixed hot bed with the salvias and Moorhiem beauty.

Last week we were invited by Ruth Newman from North End Nurseries in Quainton to the amazing Ball Horticultural Company centre for an exhibition. What a truly wonderful day. Ball Horticultural Company test plants in trial gardens to check for regional performance, weather hardiness, disease resistance, and uniformity. It was a fascinating day out and a privilege to be a guest. I saw so many amazing plants being tested prior to be released to the market. I fell in love with these AMAZING Coleus plants. Thank you Ruth.
