A halfway point update from our Luxborough kitchen project...
This beautiful 600-year-old home on Exmoor has certainly tested our scribing skills! π
The main kitchen is now really starting to come together, with the paint-to-order doors fitted, the island installed with its curved doors and solid oak worktop, and the overall design finally taking shape.
As with many older properties, a few challenges have presented themselves along the way. Add in a newly laid floor that wasn't quite as level as planned, and we've had to make a few clever adjustments to ensure everything sits and looks exactly as it should.
There are some great bespoke details in this one too, including a custom-built larder area complete with a radiator for warming coats and muddy boots after a day on Exmoor, PIR lighting inside the larder, and a COB LED strip above the Aga space to create a subtle feature lighting effect.
Next week we'll be completing the utility area before moving into the final stages, getting everything ready for quartz templating and the finishing touches.
We're really pleased with how this one is coming together and can't wait to show you the finished result.
