How do you display and pair your tulips? 🌷 🌷 🌷
Here are some tips...

Some of my wonderful clients have created stunning displays...

✅️ Plant bulbs between Autumn and early spring, 12" deep
✅️ Contrast the colours:
Purple tulips V white flowers
White tulips V bright red/orange/pink
✅️ Be an Architect: tulips stand well above Heuchera, Forget-me-not, Grasses, blue Aubretia, Evergreen shrubs! Borders and lawns too.
✅️ Soils must well-drained - lawns, basins, ceramic or terracotta pots

❎️ Avoid damp or wet soils
❎️ Avoid plastic pots, they dry-out
❎️ Do not use grit or gravel - water pools between those spaces
❎️ Avoid planting too early - they prefer 5oc (Nov - Jan ish)

Winter work and endless recommendation has really paid off! So thank you! 🙏

🪴 🌱 Joint forces with a landscaping company to maintain exceptional gardens in the thick of wind and rain! 🌧

A private estate required my attention this month!

After 3 years since being landscaped, much care was needed with grasses, / , anemones, h**e and roses 🌹

In persistent 40mph winds (no lie!) and endless days of winter rain, the soil was pretty clogged, though steps were draining well!

We shall see in a couple of weeks how things are!

Bring on 🌞...

Carrying on with strimming is fine, dealing with strimming cord replacement, mud splat and perspiration heat is not 😆

I was sceptical at first
"oh there's an aurora alert, Liz"

"Yeah right, I missed May 24 and the following alerts... but I'll give it a go in my new van" I responded.

Wow, I screeched to a halt when I spotted the red and green peeping under the Devon clouds.

I hopped out the van, turned off the lights and let my eyes adjust.

In awe, I finally saw the waves of green on the left. It WAS moving. I cried. The 19 Jan was my Dad's heavenly birthday ❤️ we lost him in Aug 25. I felt like he was there in the skies! 🌌 🌌 🌌 🌌 🌌 I feel complete 🙏

Starting a new solo business can be tough, especially in autumn and during strange economic times....

I am grateful for all the recommendations, serving me non-stop since autumn, despite our wintry weather!

*Spring bulb planting*
Its all about patience. Proper planning and design gives you satisfaction. It's not always about the short-term wins

*Bramble root removal*
Getting them out sooner means your garden will start diverting energy to plants which need it most

*Trees & hedges*
This makes me grin all day, especially as I gret to play with my new shiny tools!

*Winter services*
Pruning - Planting - Design - Composting
