🍂 Seeing Moss Earlier This Autumn? You’re Not Alone! 🍃

With the cooler, wetter weather arriving sooner this year, many lawns are already showing signs of moss growth. Moss may look soft and green, but it can quickly take over and weaken your grass if left untreated.

✨ The good news? Preventative treatments can stop moss before it spreads.

Our autumn lawn care services target moss early, strengthen your turf, and help your lawn stay healthier right through winter.

If you’ve spotted moss—or want to get ahead of it—send us a message and we’ll be happy to help! 💬
Let’s keep your lawn looking its best, season after season. 🌱

🌱 Your Lawn at Risk?

Every spring, we get calls from desperate homeowners whose lawns are dying before their eyes. The hidden culprit? Leatherjackets – the larvae of daddy long-legs.

🐛 They’re laid in autumn, and by spring, they’re busy feeding on grass roots, causing catastrophic damage.

⚠️ Don’t wait until you see the problem – by then it’s too late.

👉 October is the most effective time to stop them.Book your treatment now and protect your lawn before the damage begins. Call or WhatsApp James on 07398 181160 for help.

☀️ HOT WEATHER LAWN CARE TIPS ☀️
The sun’s blazing, and while that’s great for BBQs and garden lounging, it can really take a toll on your lawn. 🌱🔥

Here’s how to help your grass stay strong and green in the heat:

✅ Water Wisely – Timing is everything! Water early in the morning to avoid evaporation during the hottest part of the day. Give your lawn a deep soak a couple of times a week rather than a light sprinkle every day – this encourages roots to grow deeper and become more drought-tolerant.

💧 Consider a Wetting Agent – If your lawn’s struggling to absorb water, it might be suffering from dry patch. A wetting agent helps water soak evenly into the soil, improving hydration and reducing runoff. It’s a great add-on during prolonged dry spells. For more information call 07398 181160

✅ Raise your Mower Blades – In hot, dry weather, mow less often and keep your grass a bit longer – around 5–7cm (2–3 inches). Taller grass shades the soil, helping it stay cooler and retain moisture. Plus, it reduces stress on the grass when conditions are hot.

A bit of smart care now keeps your lawn looking lush all summer. Not sure where to start? We’re here to help – get in touch and we’ll take the hassle out of lawn care! Just call 07398 181160 🌿💦
