🚧 Challenging Horse Chestnut Removal – Safety First 🌳
Today’s job saw the removal of a large, heavily compromised Horse Chestnut, standing at approximately 25 metres with a 32” DBH.
This tree had previously been heavily pollarded, which over time had led to significant decay pockets and structural weakness throughout the crown and stem. The level of internal rot made it a serious concern — particularly given its elevated position directly over a busy road.
With safety as the top priority, the team carried out a controlled dismantle, utilising a speed line system to safely manage timber over the target area.
We brought in the Avant loader to handle the heavy sections, allowing us to efficiently and safely move the larger rings once on the deck.
A full setup today — the right kit, the right planning, and a solid team effort to get the job done safely and professionally 👊
