Weeded around the parsnips yesterday , because they sometimes take a bit of time to emerge, we have to let the weeds grow a little around them. Now we can see them weeding will be easier.

🌿 Discover the Magic of Winter Gardens! ❄️

Some people may think it odd that I visit gardens in the winter! Winter is a season of quiet beauty, and public gardens are the perfect place to experience it. With frosty mornings, sculptural bare branches, and the soft glow of winter sunlight, gardens reveal textures and forms often hidden in other seasons.

Stroll among evergreen foliage, spot winter blooms like snowdrops and hellebores, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. It’s a chance to reconnect with nature, find inspiration for all year interest, and embrace the slower pace of the season.

On a recent short visit to Amsterdam we visited the Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam I loved the use of these obelisks as focal points and habitats in the garden. ❤️🪲
