We’re delighted to have secured full planning permission for this highly sustainable replacement dwelling in the heart of Warwickshire.

A carefully composed principal elevation is paired with traditional detailing, of decorative brick dentil courses and flat arched sash windows.

The elegant exterior is combined with spacious open plan interiors, where large modern living spaces flow from one to another and out to a dining loggia and sunny terraces.

To the rear, the formal symmetry opens out onto a raised garden, framed by an historic boundary wall that extends the house into the landscape.

As the project moves into technical design, we’re pleased to share our AI-enhanced visuals of the scheme.

This project celebrates thoughtful design in the contemporary conversion of a group of traditional barns. A refined material palette of oak, hand-finished exposed stone, and steelwork shape a series of generous, light-filled spaces. The careful balance of old and new creates a home that feels both timeless and quietly modern, with subtle hints of the property’s circus past woven throughout.

Before and after views of five new homes in Blockley. A sensitively reworked site in the heart of the Conservation Area, unlocking planning approval to replace an incongruous dwelling and outbuildings with a carefully considered proposal that better reflects village character, enhances the street scene, and opens up previously hidden views to green space and mature trees beyond. The development blends into the natural grain of the village, receiving positive support from the Planning Officers.

Five new homes at the heart of Blockley Conservation Area, centred around a shared courtyard with views to the church tower. A mixed scale response to the site’s steep levels, integrated into the historic surroundings, with existing buildings enclosing the site on three sides.

A contemporary pool barn within the grounds of a listed building. Clad in larch battens that animate the façade with light and shadow.

Steel and timber intertwine beneath scissor trusses, while energy drawn from the site’s natural pond heats the space and pool with a sustainable water source heat pump.

A bold yet sensitive addition which complements its historic setting, well received by Planning and Conservation Officers.

Spring has sprung!

An edge of village property on the Gloucestershire-Oxfordshire border set within a glorious wildflower meadow and beautifully landscaped gardens.

Significant re ordering of the property, along with the removal and replacement of tired extensions, allowed for a coherent and sensitive rationalisation of the whole building. A key part of this transformation was the creation of new living spaces that open directly to the gardens and terraces; and benefit from extended landscape views to the open countryside.

A carefully designed two storey bay echoes the form and character of the historic property, anchoring the scheme within the gardens and creating a harmonious connection between the original fabric and the new additions.

A joyful project bringing new life to a much loved Listed Bibury Tea Room and creating a seamless new link into the neighbouring Post Office.

Repurposed Jacobean panelling now wraps the main café space, carefully detailed around the exposed timber beams. Upstairs, a beautifully restored Victorian staircase leads to additional seating, including the best spot in the house: a charming window seat overlooking the River Coln and iconic Arlington Row.
A joyful project bringing new life to a much-loved Listed Bibury Tea Room and creating a seamless new link into the neighbouring Post Office.

National Winner — Best Residential Extension, LABC Grand Finals 2025

This national award doesn’t just recognise good design, it rewards excellence in the technical design process and ex*****on of the actual build, working here with the contractor JND. In addition to our talented designers the practice is very fortunate to have an experienced team of technical staff who ensure that our projects are delivered efficiently on site.

A C20 Gloucestershire farmhouse transformed with a bright new kitchen/living/dining space. A converted garage and oak frame extension provided additional accommodation. A new porch and walled garden formalise the principal elevation and front entrance.

A glazed infill between the house and garage creates a generous, light filled kitchen opening out onto the west facing terrace. The oak frame dining extension features expressed oak structure internally and externally, and projects out into the newly landscaped gardens and terrace, taking advantage of the newly created triple aspect. A new standalone barn style garage along the western boundary completes the courtyard.

New Arts and Crafts Country House on the edge of a historic farmstead.

The high quality building, with carefully considered detailing, forms part of a broader site masterplan that reorders the farmstead into a series of defined gardens and yards, revealing and repurposing historic agricultural buildings.

The context driven design responds to the local vernacular and material palette of soft red brick, hand-made clay roof tiles, and cut stone detailing.

Distinctive turned brick chimneys, oak-framed screens, and swept rooflines give the property its presence and sense of grandeur.

We’re thrilled to be featured in this month’s RIBA Journal in an article by , showcasing our Wyck Rissington project — the refurbishment and extension of a beautiful C17/18th Grade II Listed farmhouse.

By carefully reordering the interiors and adding a contemporary orangery, the new owner has breathed fresh life into this historic home. Sensitive design, thoughtful detailing, and gentle landscaping all come together to create a harmonious blend of old and new.
