We had to pick our days wisely with this job as the weather recently has been very unpredictable, the days we pencilled in thankfully stayed dry and at times sunny.
An elderly client with a lovely property in Madderty which is located near Gleneagles. All external work involved eves, downpipes, soffit’s, two dormer windows, decking, decking fence, garage and shed. Work concerning house itself was an opaque dark chestnut paint from Johnstones followed by a coat of Ronseal stain of the same shade.
The deck and other areas soaked up 25 litres of dark oak shed and fence paint. Last job was to paint all window ingles with a sandtex masonry sandstone colour.

Stewart brewery shop front, Edinburgh.
The client had steel panelling brought in that was soaked in salt water for a rust effect, (this was sealed and preserved with beeswax) concrete panels were also installed which we covered in a water based varnish to give them an aged look, ceiling blacked out and light feature varnished. Floor was fully sanded back to clean timber, stained with a dark oak by rag and finally sealed with 2 coats sandtex 2 pack varnish. If only all jobs came with free beer and pizza ✅😎🎨

Perthshire’s faulty towers.
A slight change from the usual retail decoration we do, in fact the difference couldn’t be any further from a new shop.
A large 1820’s town house in Coupar Angus with a ground floor TSB bank branch (now closed).
The property hasn’t been lived in since 1986 and it shows, much needed TLC was required to sort out a level of decay that no video or photo could truly justify.
2 gallon of stain block, 80kg of easy fill with equal weight of finish is what was applied throughout the property to make the walls and ceilings acceptable & habitable once again.
Walls finished with a soft grey matt emulsion, satin on woodwork contrasted with black gloss on balustrade. Other aspects of the job include new kitchen/bathroom, new windows, new wiring, new joists in some areas and a new heating system
Satisfying job and we should be back in the near future to decorate lower level that currently is in its planning stage for a double bedsit.

Shop front aside a whole other beast was carried out here from an upper level 3 room office, canteen & toilet space to a staircase and basement area, this is Baynes the bakers flagship store in Dundee. Our first job 🙂🎨
