It's been a very busy few weeks in the workshop, from strimmers, mowers, hedge trimmers, and even a zero turn!! All serviced and back running like new!

A Briggs and Stratton engine rebuild, the engine had dropped the decompressor! Luckily it hadn't caused too much damage! A new camshaft kit, crank seals and she's good to go! It did also have some water in the cylinder so the piston rings were replaced along with a cylinder hone and it's good as new! And no surprises that the carburettor was ruined....so we fitted a new one!

A busy couple of days! A lawnmower serviced while the customer waited so he could attack his allotment the same day!

A drive belt replaced on a ride on mower, which was well over due!

And a call out to a none starting mower that we serviced at the end of last year! Unfortunately the fuel was left in the carburetor so had gone bad! A quick fuel drain and it was back up and running, all done at the customers house!

A Stihl HS45 in for a service and a sharpen!
Carburetor was ultrasonicly cleaned and rebuilt, recoil spring cleaned and greased, new recoil rope, sparkplug, air filter and fuel filter all replaced along with a good clean and polish!

It's good practice to fully remove the blades when sharpening, this way you can check for worn parts and clean out all the old grease! It takes a little longer but is well worth doing!

It's been a busy week in the workshop!

From fitting a new belt to a minimix 150 mixer to servicing a pair of leaf blowers! Unfortunately one of the leaf blowers isn't saveable as it's been ran without oil causing major damage to the piston! ( Pictures 5 & 6).

A service on a self propelled Mountfeild mower that now runs like new! This will be for sale in the near future if you're interested!

A new clutch fitted to a chainsaw as the old one had failed and thrown the spring into next week!

And a pair of new front tyres fitted to a hayter ride on mower that also had some electrical gremlins sorted!

I thought an introduction would be a good idea!

I'm Ollie! Lover of all things mechanical. I rebuilt my first engine in my grandma's garage when I was 15....half my life ago!! I still have that very engine that started the obsession!

I've fixed a lot of things over the years, most recently my Ring 16 speedboat....which did take 4 years but it's now like new! Recently I've been restoring an old series 3 Landy! The Landy is almost done now but it was not in a good way! Lots of welding and fabricating to bring her back to life!

I trained as a mechanical engineer, this is where I got my attention to detail and skills such as welding, fabricating and the unhealthy idea that I can fix everything and anything!

I mainly fix and service garden machinery and small engines (Can do other things just ask!!).

This older Stihl 024 recently came into the workshop.
Originally came in for a new chain and a service, but after a leak down test i found that the crankcase seals had failed!

It ended up having a full strip down and fitted with new seals, intake boot, and a full service!

Very happy with the results!
