As part of a larger project following an external survey, this Spruce tree was marked for removal due to its size and location of nearby public footpaths. The tree was in in decline and also had significant woodpecker damage that was assessed during the survey.
Under the constraints of a TPO, the appropriate paperwork and liason was conducted with the council and it was given the Green light.
Standing taller than its neighbouring trees, the tree was climbed and sectionally dismantled until it was safe to fell the stem.

As part of a bigger project, today we had to dismantle this Ash tree, following a survey that was conducted by an external company.
The tree was bearing fruiting bodies of Inonotus hispidus. Over the course of the past 8 months it has spread throughout the tree.
Under the constraints of a TPO, we liased with the Highland Council, and it was agreed that due to proximity of the main road and the deterioration, it should be dismantled.
